The 2025 Repco Bathurst 1000 was a race for the ages, and the build-up to the Great Race was just as thrilling, with the annual Top 10 Shootout once again delivering a spectacular show for motorsport fans.
After topping Friday’s qualifying to secure provisional pole, Shell V-Power Racing Team’s Brodie Kostecki rose to the occasion again on Saturday afternoon when it really counted.
Last out on track in the Shootout, Kostecki and the #38 Shell V-Power Mustang delivered under pressure — setting a blistering 2:04.0413s lap to seal pole position for the 1000km epic around Mount Panorama. His effort narrowly eclipsed Tickford rival Cam Waters’ impressive 2:04.2173s to claim the top spot.
The result marked Kostecki’s third consecutive Bathurst 1000 pole after his 2023 and 2024 successes with Erebus Motorsport — an extraordinary feat that sees him join legends Peter Brock (1977–1979) and Allan Moffat (1970–1972) as only the third driver in history to achieve the hat-trick. It also represented the fourth Bathurst pole for the iconic Dick Johnson Racing outfit.
This 1:18 scale model is scheduled to be produced in high quality die-cast with opening parts which includes the bonnet and both the driver and passenger doors.
A highly detailed racing cockpit can be seen through the molded clear glasshouse, or by opening the doors to examine the interior further. Under the bonnet includes a detailed 5.4-litre Coyote quad overhead cam V8 and engine bay surround. Underneath the model, the undercarriage details the unique Gen3 floorpan.
Comprised of roughly 204 individual metal and plastic parts, with anywhere between 100-200 steps in paint and decoration finishing, including tampo printing where possible, photo etched parts including the bonnet pins, brake rotors and more, this is a high quality, detailed collectors model.
It will come in an exclusive, one-off limited edition with an individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity presented in its own protective cardboard folder.
For the first time, this model will also include a scale replica of the Repco Bathurst 1000 / Boost Mobile Pole Position winner board as an optional display feature.
