On the 60th anniversary of the race at Mount Panorama, van Gisbergen clinched his third Bathurst 1000, and became the first driver in 15 years to enjoy consecutive wins at Mount Panorama. Stanaway claimed his first Bathurst victory as a co-driver.
In the first Gen3 edition of the race, van Gisbergen and Stanaway started sixth on the grid, leading 74 laps to lead Brodie Kostecki by almost 20 seconds – the greatest winning margin since 1999. The victory also marks Triple Eight Race Engineering's 10th Bathurst crown.
